Whence She Came, Where She’s Gone

She writhed wildly on the ground.
A thunderous clap echoed.
A chasm split her open
and her resolve burst asunder.

She was no longer whole.

Suffering and sorrow spewed forth
as tears pooled where her cheek
met the earth.
Blinding light called her home.
