The Vulnerable Moon

In my darkest days
She’s there to light my way
Her simple beauty
Captivates
Even through my tears

I wish to feel
Her nakedness
Dust spilling
From my fingers

She seems
Vulnerable
Amidst the black
Though, she has her own
Light

So poetically tragic and tender… I love love love this verse. Seems to express the somewhat intangibility of longing for something that is both so close but so far away. Lovely words.
