Ghost of Dreams

Only remains of memories
Still they haunt me
Your face painted blood
Dead eyes stare back at me, nothing

Why did you have to die?
Left here all alone
Except for a frozen past
A world of our own making

Now you’re a ghost in my dreams
Your precious face, unscathed
Eyes full of life
Your soul still thrives

Your voice reduced to a whisper
Faded from years gone
Now I will die with you
And we will dream forever
